You must file your weekly claim each week to receive payment. The first day of the week you can report a weekly claim is the Sunday starting at 8 a.m. after the prior week has ended.

The on-line continued claims application for filing your weekly continued claim and benefit inquiry applications require that you enter your username and password. Your username and password protects you from having another person file your claim or obtain information about your claim.

Your username and password is created when you file your first unemployment claim online. You may have filed previously and created your login credentials. If you do not have your login credentials, you may select "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password" on the login page. If you used an email address when you created your account, an email will be sent to that email address to assist you with your login credentials. If you do not receive an email within 30 minutes, you must contact Iowa Workforce Development.

Remember: Your username and password is your electronic signature for claiming and receiving unemployment benefits and to obtain information about your claim. You are responsible and liable for your claim. It is not permissible for any other individual to file your claim for you. Never tell anyone your login credentials!!!

If you forget your login credentials or you think someone else knows your login password, report this immediately to Iowa Workforce Development and you will be provided instructions on how to establish a new password.
